Gardening Club

Our gardening group has twelve members - not everyone comes out at the same time - we try and meet on different days to fit in with the majority. Our patch is opposite the entrance to Parish Wharf Leisure Centre; it’s quite big and we have spent the last couple of years taking out old shrubs and some of the many grasses. We are hoping to plant some new shrubs in the spring to add a bit of summer colour, along with summer bedding plants. We have been entered in the Britain in Bloom ‘It’s Your Neighbourhood' awards and have gained several awards. We would welcome any new volunteers; it’s not hard work and we usually do about an hour on the garden then go for a coffee.
