5th Birthday Celebrations

At the September 2014 meeting, Harbourside WI celebrated their 5th Birthday. 
 
The evening started with a talk and demonstration by the Clarins Team. Our secretary, Chris, bravely volunteered to act as model for the demonstration on facial cleansing and make up and seemed to enjoy the pampering. We all took part in learning facial exercises, with much hilarity at the sound effects we were asked to make, to rid ourselves of wrinkles, scraggy necks and double chins.

We were pleased to welcome Daphne as our guest to our celebrations. Daphne was Avon Federation of WI's Adviser, who had given much help and encouragement in setting up this WI five years ago. She gave a brief speech on her view of how we had progressed from those early days and offered her congratulations.
 
Following the raffle, which included some generous gifts courtesy of Clarins, our President Patsy, Secretary Chris and Daphne together cut the Birthday cake and we enjoyed a superb buffet and slice of birthday cake.
