The August social event with picnic and stalls was a great success. We had four stalls comprising of: plants, Karen Lupton Perfect Views photographer cards and gifts, Seaview Glass, and Laura's Bows. We also had a delicious picnic supplied by members.
Geoff Vian, a RNLI volunteer, told us about the RNLI and the state-of-the-art Portishead Lifeboat Station that opened in 2015.
Ashley Jones works as a Regional Fraud Protection Advisor, South West Regional Organised Crime Unit, for Avon and Somerset Police, and provides Crime Prevention Advice. Ashley also helped set up a charity called The Senior Citizen Liaison Team, that provides opportunities for older adults to benefit from crime prevention advice, victim aftercare services, and social inclusion events, and more.
